Item OCM-1: Single Challenge Coin

The Orange County Sheriff's Museum & Education Center is offering a single numbered challenge coin that beautifully represents the heritage of the Orange County, California, Sheriff's Department. This coin has an engraved brass colored relief of early and modern deputy sheriff characters on one side and a silver colored historic deputy sheriff badge within a brass ring on the opposite side. Price: $10.00 plus 7.75% tax (78 cents) = $10.78. Optional USPS flat-rate shipping is $3.00.

Item OCM-2: Challenge Coin Set

The Orange County Sheriff's Museum & Education Center is selling an exclusive limited edition minting set of six matched numbered historic challenge coins. These highly detailed pieces are cast in brushed brass and plated silver. The organization's name and logo are on the obverse side of each coin. Each of the six coins features a different scene from OCSD history sculpted on its reverse side. The scenes are all based on well-known photographs from the department's history. The first 1000 of these coins are individually marked with an engraved number on the coin's edge, aligned with the top point of the logo's badge. Each set of six matching coins will bear the same series number.

Price: $60.00 per set plus 7.75% tax ($4.65) = $64.65.

Item OCM-4: The Golden Star Badge Book

The Golden Star is a unique, colorful, high-quality photographic collection of the badges of the Orange County, California, Sheriff's Department, spanning the department's history from 1889 to the present. The Golden Star features full-color, large photographs, along with their descriptions and stories. The book features over 70 representative badges that were issued to regular deputies, reserve deputies, and related OCSD law-enforcement agencies. Also presented is an overview of the department's patches, medals, and other uniform insignia.

The Orange County Sheriff's Museum & Education Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of the Orange County Sheriff's Department and to educating the public about law enforcement's role in the community. Proceeds from the sales of this merchandise will be used to support the future construction of a permanent facility that will display the department's historic memorabilia and fund law-enforcement-related education programs.
